Methodology
How we rate dating sites
Last updated October 19, 2026
Our scores are editorial opinions, built from facts anyone can check. They are not user reviews and we never show them as star ratings in search results.
The three scores
- Safety (45% of the overall score): photo or ID verification, reporting and blocking tools, moderation of sexual or fetish content, and the pattern of public complaints (fake profiles, scams, billing).
- Value (25%): published prices, what the free version really allows, auto-renewal and how hard it is to cancel.
- Curvy focus (30%): whether the site is built for plus-size singles and the people who respect them, without a fetish angle.
Our sources
Public price pages and app-store listings, company and ownership records, Trustpilot and app-store reviews, regulators (FTC, CMA, CCPC) and reporting on plus-size dating. Each guide lists its sources at the bottom. We date every page and recheck prices regularly.
What we have not done
We do not claim to have run paid test accounts unless a page says so explicitly, with dates and costs.
